From the aircraft to Thakur ji's town

After a long flight, the last thing you need is to bargain with strangers outside the terminal. Your driver is already at arrivals at Terminal 3 with a lala:Cab name board. He helps with the bags, you sit back, and the car heads out towards the Yamuna Expressway or NH19, depending on the traffic that day.

The road is about 170 km. Most guests are at the door of their stay within three and a half hours. A tea stop on the way is easy to add. Just ask, and the driver will pick a clean one.

Plan your first evening

If you reach Vrindavan by late afternoon, you can still go for evening darshan. Banke Bihari and the ISKCON temple both hold evening aarti, and Prem Mandir is lit up after dark. Temple timings change with the season, so ask us or your host the same morning.

If you land late at night, rest first. Nidhivan and most temples are closed after dark, and the first morning is better spent with a clear head. Mangala aarti at ISKCON is before sunrise, and it is worth the early alarm.

Flying in on a winter morning? Dec and Jan fog can slow the expressway. Keep a little extra time if you have an onward connection.

Which car suits you

  • Two or three people with two bags: a sedan is comfortable.
  • A family of five or six, with elders: SUV, because the seat is higher and easier to get into.
  • A yatra party of eight to twelve: Tempo Traveller.

How we work

We try to follow the path Krishna gave in the Gita: keep dharma in every place we take you, and own the responsibility for the whole journey. That is why you deal with one team, from the airport pickup to the drop back.
