From Canada

From Toronto, Brampton or Vancouver to the banks of the Yamuna

Toronto nonstop about 14 to 17 hr9.5 to 13.5 hr behind IndiaPrices in CAD

Canada has a large Braj-loving community, and its searches are more about the temples themselves than anything else. Banke Bihari comes first, then Prem Mandir, then Barsana. We build the trip around those three.

Getting to Delhi

Both Air India and Air Canada operate nonstop services between Toronto and Delhi. Air India lists about 14 hours 20 minutes on its site, while a schedule site gives 16 hours 45 minutes, so the answer depends on date and direction. Vancouver has a daily nonstop service to Delhi listed on one aggregator, but we could not confirm the time, so check it directly.

Time and rest

Toronto is 9.5 hours behind India in summer and 10.5 in winter. Vancouver is 12.5 to 13.5 hours behind. The Canadian winter has you leaving snow for Vrindavan's cool, clear mornings, which makes December and January a natural time to go.

E-Visa or OCI

Canadian citizens appear in the e-Visa nationality list on a reference page, but confirm on the official portal before you pay anything. Families of Indian origin often hold OCI cards, which are issued only through the official OCI site. Carry your Canadian passport with the OCI card; it must be shown together.

What Canada looks for

Our research found Banke Bihari at the top, then Prem Mandir, Barsana, and hotel searches in the third place. Interest peaks in April and over December and January, which makes the quietest time to book rooms the early autumn before those weeks.

That is good news if you are the cautious type: book Laladham two or three months ahead for the holiday weeks, and you will not need to scramble.

First day in Braj

  • Driver at the arrival gate with a name board, flight tracked.
  • Three hours on the expressway, with a stop for tea.
  • Arrive at Laladham for a simple satvik meal, then sleep.
  • Banke Bihari the next morning when darshan hours are known; temple timings change by season.
Ask us for the Banke Bihari timings the day before. They shift through the year.

Health, food and water

Winter travellers from Canada step off the plane into mild days, but nights are cold in Braj. Bring a shawl and warm socks for temple floors. Drink filtered water only. If someone in the family is diabetic or has a heart condition, tell us when you book so we plan a slower pace and closer drop points.

Before or after Braj

Brampton and Toronto families often combine Braj with relatives elsewhere in North India, and Vancouver travellers often keep longer trips. We can drive you from Vrindavan to Delhi, to Agra for a day, or on a longer route. Tell us where the rest of the trip goes and we plan the cab to match it.

One WhatsApp, in your time

Send your dates, your airport, and who is travelling. We reply with the plan and the pickup arrangement. Canadian families often travel as three generations, so say so early and we plan rest, seats near the door and slow starts.

Check locally
  • Toronto-Delhi flight duration (14h20 on Air India's site, 16h45 on a schedule site) and Vancouver duration.
  • Canadian eligibility and rules for the e-Visa on the official portal.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Is there a difference between the Toronto and Vancouver routes?

Mostly time. Toronto has several nonstop services, and Vancouver has fewer, so check the schedule before you choose dates.

Can my OCI-holding parents travel with me?

Yes, each traveller needs their own valid documents. OCI holders need the card plus the passport.

Is April a good time?

April is warm and heading to hot. Mornings are lovely, but plan darshan early and rest after noon.

Can I arrange a guide in English?

Yes. We have local guides who speak English, and they tell the stories at each place.

Can children and elders both manage?

Yes, with a plan. Short walks, a car at each stop, and rest after lunch suit both.

Do you arrange a guide for Barsana?

Yes. Tell us you are interested in Barsana and Nandgaon and we include a local guide.
