Braj in Seven Days

Seven days, one home, and Braj the way the people who live here know it.

Private, any dayGroup departures
7days
380km by road
33darshan stops
8planned meals
6nights' stay

Most people give Braj a day and leave with a blur of crowds and car parks. A week changes that. By the third morning the lanes of Vrindavan start to make sense, and by the fifth you have a favourite kachori shop.

Every night you come home to Laladham, the house in Balajipuram where the food is still cooked as if Lala will eat first. In between there is the river at sunrise, the full walk around Govardhan, Radha's temple on its hill, an afternoon in our kitchen, cows to feed and a Sanjhi or flute evening.

In March the week can take in the Holi of Barsana and Nandgaon, and in Kartik the lamps of Damodar month. Tell us your dates and we fold the festival in.

Best for: Anyone who wants to know Braj, not just see it: first visits with time, couples, families with elders, and seekers travelling alone.

Places on this route

Questions, answered

Is a whole week too much for Braj?

It is the length we would choose for ourselves. Each day has one area and a long rest when the temples close, so nobody comes home tired of temples.

Can we join from Delhi airport?

Yes. Add the airport pickup when you book and the driver meets you at arrivals. The road to Mathura takes about three hours.

Will there be a festival during our week?

Check the Braj calendar for your dates. Holi in March and Kartik in October and November change the week completely, and we plan around them.

How do I book this tour?
