From Singapore to Braj in a long weekend

About 5.5 to 6 hr flights2.5 hr ahead of IndiaPrices in SGD

Singapore is close enough to make a short darshan trip realistic. A morning flight lands in Delhi by early afternoon, and Vrindavan is there by night. For devotees with limited leave, this is one of the easiest overseas routes to Braj.

The flight

Singapore Airlines, Air India and IndiGo are named for nonstop Singapore to Delhi flights, with sources giving about 5 hours 30 minutes to 6 hours. The clock in Singapore is 2.5 hours ahead of Delhi, so a flight that leaves in the morning lands in India in the same early afternoon. Check the current carriers before you book.

Visa

Citizens of ASEAN member states appear on the e-Visa list of the reference page we checked. Singapore passports should therefore be able to apply online. Use only the official portal, give yourself several days, and carry a printed copy of the approval.

What Singapore searches for

In our research about three in ten Singapore searches were for stays, more than for most markets. Cabs are rare in searches; people book them from India after landing. So we ask one simple question at booking: where do you want to sleep.

A three-night plan

It is a compact, honest plan, and a spare day is best spent on Agra.

  • Day 1 (evening): land, drive to Vrindavan, a late dinner.
  • Day 2: Banke Bihari, Prem Mandir at night, ISKCON.
  • Day 3: Govardhan or Barsana, depending on the season.
  • Day 4: Mathura darshan, and drive to Delhi with six hours in hand.
Deepavali and Kartik are lovely times, and also busy. Book rooms early for them.

Weather in your pocket

You are used to heat, but the Indian summer from May to June is a dry, hard heat. October to March is easier on an older family, and the monsoon months from July to September are green but wet.

Pack for the swing between hot noons and cool dawns in winter, and bring a compact umbrella if you travel in the rains. Roads and ghats can be slippery after rain, so wear shoes with grip and keep sandals for the temple steps.

Health, food and water

Singapore travellers are used to hygiene, so the first surprise is the street. Eat at the stay or at busy, clean places, drink filtered water, and carry hand sanitiser. A small first-aid kit, sunscreen and a rain layer for the monsoon months cover most needs.

Before or after Braj

With a spare day, choose Agra over extra temples. The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, so plan around that. We can drive you from Vrindavan to Agra and on to Delhi in one go, so your last night is near the airport.

One WhatsApp for a short trip

Short trips leave no room for mistakes, so we fix everything beforehand: the pickup, the room, the day plan and the airport drop. Send your flight times in both directions and we shape the days around them.

Yes, a driver with a name board. We follow your flight and wait through immigration.

Is the food too spicy?

Satvik meals are mild. Tell us your preference when you book.
