The day
- Krishna Janmasthan, Mathura: the birth place, with the Keshav Dev temple next to it. Mobile phones and bags are usually not allowed inside.
- Dwarkadhish temple and Vishram Ghat, where Krishna rested after Kansa.
- Vrindavan: Banke Bihari. Darshan timings vary by season, so we check them the evening before.
- ISKCON Krishna Balaram Mandir and Prem Mandir, which is lit up at dusk.
- Evening aarti, then dinner of prasad or a simple thali.
From Delhi in a day
It is doable. Leave Delhi by 6 am, reach Mathura around 9:30, and be back by 10 pm. It is a long day for elders. If anyone in your group gets tired easily, break the trip with a night at Laladham and see our two day plan.
How we run the day
We follow the path Krishna gave in the Gita and keep dharma at each place we take you, so there are no shopping stops arranged for commission, and no pressure at the temple gates. A Braj-local guide can tell you the leelas behind each place if you want them.
