One day in Mathura from Delhi

A realistic same-day plan: leave early, see the Janmabhoomi, Dwarkadhish and the ghats, and be back by night.

Mathura is roughly three hours from Delhi by road on a clear day, via the Yamuna Expressway. Leave by 5:30 AM to reach before the day heats up and to beat traffic on the way.

Start at Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, then visit Dwarkadhish Temple, and walk to Vishram Ghat on the Yamuna. If you have time and energy, a short boat ride in the evening light is memorable.

Lunch is simple and vegetarian. Try local peda and kachori sabzi, but eat from busy, clean-looking places. Keep water with you.

If you want Vrindavan too, it is about 12 km away. One day for both is possible but tiring. For a calm yatra, give Mathura a full day and Vrindavan its own, or stay one night with us and do both slowly.

Planning your yatra? Radhe Radhe.

Fixed fares, Braj-local drivers and a warm stay at Laladham.
