Agra and Mathura are an hour apart, but they feel centuries apart. Many families do the Taj Mahal one day and Braj the next. Remember that the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, so Friday is a good day to drive to Mathura.

Fatehpur Sikri is about 40 km from Mathura and fits into the same road if you have time.
