Radha's hometown on the hills, home of Lathmar Holi.

Barsana is Radha's village: Bhanugarh with the Shriji temple, Maan Mandir, Rangeeli Mahal, and the lakes of Prem Sarovar nearby. It is one of the most heartfelt places in Braj. Everyone greets with 'Radhe Radhe'.

Local food of Barsana

No named restaurant could be found for Barsana. What exists is stall guidance: early-morning kachori with aloo sabzi near the Shriji temple, bedai and jalebi in the main market, thandai, rabri and peda at sweet shops on Temple Road. Laddu Holi, when boondi laddus are thrown to the crowd at the temple, comes just before Lathmar Holi. On festival days eat light and ask for thandai without bhang.
